Heres something the Honda guys dont want to hear. http://dualsport-sd.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/scratch_one-s_head.gif

All Things Considered, April 17, 2007 · The newly powerful Taliban are reportedly careful in selecting their mode of transportation. And by all accounts in Lashkargah, a city in the Taliban stronghold of Helmand, their choice of vehicle is the Honda motorcycle.

Taliban fighters use Chinese-built versions of Honda motorbikes for transportation for attacks — and, as in the case of Taliban leader Mullah Omar, to flee coalition forces, as he reportedly did in 2002.

We talk to a mechanic who works on the motorcycles for the Taliban to find out what the black-turbaned insurgents think about them.

They are not riding HONDA red, they are riding CHINESE RED! Cheap knock offs that they can get next door. If your going to copy something, you usually copy the best. No there not using KTM orange to http://dualsport-sd.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/scratch_one-s_head.gif these SOB, they are using USMC green in the form of KLRs(as much as that pains me to say). They could not afford HONDA, and certainly could not afford the fleet of mechanics it would of taken to keep ORANGE running, so they settled. :drinks:

When I ride South of the boarder I see Policiea riding BRP.s and all the pizza delivery guys ride a special 125 Honda. In the Movie Clear and Present Danger the Culumbian policie ride black big pigs Its all good. Wednesday I was reading a forum that said the 650L was quite possibly the most dependable motorcycle ever made. I guuss they all read the same forum. http://dualsport-sd.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/scratch_one-s_head.gif :drinks::party:

We do need to keep in mind the bike mentioned is Chineese made not our Japan built US tested/proven BRP. Like the Bum said, Cheap knock offs! http://dualsport-sd.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/scratch_one-s_head.gif :bb:

The Chineese version is even cheaper than a real Honda and more dependable than a ktm. After listening to the video I think they took the bulletproof claim literaly. :drinks:http://dualsport-sd.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/party.gif http://dualsport-sd.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/dance.gif http://dualsport-sd.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/boast.gif  I never shoot at my bike to test that claim. And I have never brought my bike to the shop to get bullets removed.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::D

As you all can see (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM, guys), high performance Italian made husqvarnas are not used by Talibans, south of the border police, pizza drivers, or the U.S. arm forces... They are used by the professional enduro racer, or the enduro enthusiast who enjoys the best off-road high performance machine ever!!! http://dualsport-sd.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/scratch_one-s_head.gif :drinks:

I only had two problems with husky's back in the day. I never could get used to kick starting one with my left leg, I always had to get off and kick with my right. That and passing one, that was usually a problem.

Now I have another problem with them, I want one. A new 510 would be so nice, I have to talk myself out of one about every month. Good thing I am persuasive :party:http://dualsport-sd.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/dance.gif http://dualsport-sd.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/boast.gif

Back in the day I raced a bike with a left side kick start. Some races had dead engine starts, I would always get started in the back of the pack, maybe thats what made me get faster having to pass everybody. I Gues husky figure since chain saws start on the left a motorcycle could too. 25 years later husky ( I wont capatalize Husky either)finaly solved their problem with an e start.

Honda is manufactured worldwide. Different bikes for different markets. Like Hammerin' mentioned the 125's. Man, the world runs on 50's to 125's.

These are our company bikes down in Costa Rica. Honda NX4 Falcons manufactured in Brazil:

This is a Honda Bushwacker, designed first for the Australian market as an agro or "farm" bike. Note the low seat, the dual kickstands, front rack, electric and kick start... and yea, it's all stock!
