Now it's the big red SUV's turn to take a poop. Fixing the front end, tie rods, control arm bushings, ball joints et al. I hope it doesn't wear anything else out for a while.

Transmission Fix in a bottle to the rescue. The Jeep is rolling again in 10 bucks.

Jeep's transmission stopped transmishing today. :0(

Welp. looks like it'll be next year before I see my beloved Troy Meadows again. Meanwhile, there are other closer to home adventures to be enjoyed.

Summer's pretty much shot by now. If I don't make my annual trip to Troy meadows soon, I'll miss this year.:0(

Summer's almost here. Soon it will be time for mountain trips, camping and dualsport rides. Hope I can make some of these activities this year.

Haven't been able to get away or go for a ride for two weeks now. Grrrr!

The resto KDX is all put back together, but maiden voyage is stalled, due to needing a new carb body to make the bike run properly. :0(

Still fixing up the junker KDX. Needed a gas tank. With another few hundred dollars worth of parts, I'm certain that I can turn it into a three hundred dollar machine.

In the middle of a restoration of Fugly The KDX. Got it to run on Monday, but don't like the jetting I found in it. Too lean. Bike doesn't want to stay idling. Fixed needle, saw that the slide was machined to a leaner cut, pilot jet too small. Ordered a richer pilot. Starting at the back of the bike, new brake shoes, a wheel bearing, rebuild shock and working my way to the front of the bike bit by bit.

Okay....this rainy weather has me down. Just got a hold of a new camera, still waiting for my new winter gloves to get here....and though I love riding in the rain, especially at McCain Valley, I'm getting too old to slop around in it while I'm trying to suit up or get out of my rain gear. I guess I'm going to have to grin and bear it by tomorrow though, because I am suffering cabin fever!

Nice weather we're having lately.

Found yet another neat abandoned Jeep trail yesterday. Saw a spot that I thought it might come out at just off the highway. Last night I followed it from the trailhead on out and it does connect with the highway at the spot I saw.

I just keep digging up neat dualsport trails all the time! Lots of potential up at the Secret Legit trail!

Wah....no riding for me this weekend. Maybe my neck will be healed enough to ride next weekend. At least I hope so!

There's so much good stuff to ride out at McCain that it's becoming my favorite local trail riding venue.

Just did a valve check on my KLX300. Was well overdue. Had a really tight intake valve!
