WARP9 0 Posted March 12, 2013 So this past Sunday, March 10, my family and I spent the day with Gary and Rob at Motoventures. It was AWESOME! I had a great time and learned SO Much! Rob instructed my group which consisted of myself (1st lesson), my 10 year old daughter Dayani (3rd lesson there), my 11 year old Kyle (3rd lesson there), and my 17 year old Joshua (1st lesson). Dayani and Kyle did amazingly well, and Joshua picked it up in no time at all. I started out on the Yamaha 230... my sons Joshua and Kyle were riding the same bike. Dayani was on a Yamaha 110, and she was having a blast. We practiced several drills. The instruction we received from Rob was easy to understand and extremely useful! For you seasoned trail riders there are single tracks, the sand wash from hell, many hills, a 2x6 board, and some logs for practice. The other group was more advanced, so they were with Gary for the day. They were cool to watch while doing drills. I took some videos and need to figure out how to upload them... After lunch, My 6'2", 17 year old, Joshua was switched to a 250 which he loved, and I was switched to a 230, which fit me way better. It was close to the end of the day and boy was I tired... needless to say my bike and I decided to take a nap, and that was enough for me, so I finished about 15mins early while the others hit the trails again... I hung out and watched Gary's group. Everyone there was super friendly, and we all had a great time. Gary and Rob are always giving tips and answering questions, even through lunch, breaks, and after the day was done. So much information! So many good tips! I can't wait to go back and do it all again. Gary's got a good thing going on, and any level of experience will benefit from their knowledge.

Crawdaddy 96 Posted March 12, 2013 Money well spent.....I took Gary's course a dozen or so years ago..... We spoke yesterday.....right now he has 5 folks signed up for a clinic on Friday the 22nd out at Glamis North Hot Springs (CORE 4 Kids site). Hopefully more will sign up for the Friday clinic because I'm not sure it makes good business sense with only 5......we'll see.....
dirt dame 559 Posted March 12, 2013 Good for you. I can't say from personal experience what the course is like, because I haven't taken one yet, but the trail system on the property there is a very nice one, with all the basics and nothing hard or scary, plus it is sort of pretty scenery too.
