eddie 0 Posted February 29, 2012 Sunday was a good day for me. Made it through The Squeeze and down Heart Attack without incident or delays. A FIRST! Had the Big Guns attempting to help with a gps issue on Saturday afternoon. After The Squeeze Shots from Fish Creek Scott just noticing the precariously perched rocks above his newish Husaberg. Bagstr 287 Posted March 1, 2012 Unfortunately, One guy showed up for the Kenyan Safari Tour. "Where the Hell are the porters?" was heard near the tent at Tea Time.

paulmbowers 236 Posted March 1, 2012 Unfortunately, One guy showed up for the Kenyan Safari Tour. "Where the Hell are the porters?" was heard near the tent at Tea Time. I believe the line is: "You- you there, good fellow. Now where the Hell are those blasted porters? They're as bad as the sherpas from Everest or the locals in the Punjab"
danrider 5 Posted March 1, 2012 My hat is off to you guys for taking them on the whole ride, I mean the whole ride, I would only think that you both where dead tired after the 200 mile ride on the two beast. I always like to see guy do real adventure riding on real adventure bikes (i think that your are nuts though). I could only imagine that both of you will fly through DD next year on lighter bikes because I am sure you would tell anyone that it took a lot of skill to ride the beasts that you did in the DD. I would like to mention that the both of you guys are always helpful when I come into your store. This was a great event and everyone that we talked to were having a great time. Thanks to everyone for putting on such a fun event! Although, I may have to ride a smaller bike next year. The sand whoops were super hard on the wheeled anchors. Crawdaddy 96 Posted March 6, 2012 AND, why did we not get a picture of the hill?? Found a pic of the steep hill after the Superstition Tower. Snapped the pic below when out pre-running before the 2011 Dash.
Goofy Footer 539 Posted May 5, 2012 I ran across some pictures of this year's DD from my camera today. It took me a while to find this thread because it wasn't in the DD Forum. Mods can you move it there? Anyways, not many pics as I was riding sweep but here is some evidence that we actually did stuff Troy throwing Thumbs Up, one of many during the long day We came across these guys needing assistance. Troy was so eager to help he jumped right in, yanking tire irons before he even took his helmet off Quickly tho I had to remind him to be like bikeslut... Whenever a rider is in need or has fallen, first and always first, take the picture THEN help. Troy agreed so he snapped a few pics while the guys worked Bum massaging the bead to sit on the rim. Like most "official" entities such as caltrans, we tried our best to look busy while watching one guy do the work SteelRain and I rode on to cover a side leg while Bum and Troy got the guys up and running (then helped other guys, Bum saved the day by carrying an extra rim lock!) Day 2 I swept with Stomp944 And JohnnyBags Catch you guys next year!
JohnnyAirtime 2 Posted November 29, 2012 Some great pictures!! And great stories!!! .... I'm always in awe at what those big displacement bikes are ridden through, and attempted to go over! Truly amazing. I hope to make it next year, as the 2010 ride was phenomenal (with rain, water, mud and ... well, more water!). Definitely an adventure!! Randy, you and everyone do a great job!
