KTMrad 513 Posted December 6, 2010 If you want to volunteer to help out for the Desert Dash, this is the thread for you to post. We generally have 15-20 volunteers maximum, first come first serve basis. Your campsites and weekend are basically paid for, excluding your gas. We like to have enough volunteers, so nobody has to perform their duties both days. Volunteer positions available: Registration Sweep Riders GPS Downloads Possibly Sound Check (exhausts) We will have a planning dinner somewhere in town about a month before the ride, sometime in January. Volunteers who have PM'd me or already posted here.... Strega 0 Posted December 11, 2010 Go ahead and tack me on to standby. Since I haven't ridden with ya, how would you classify your riding ability? Radio guys are very handy
Czechsix 1 Posted December 11, 2010 Compared to most of you guys I probably need training wheels. And I'm allergic to pain. And the sticker on my helmet says "follow me, I'll show you where to crash". Honestly, I have a tough call figuring out where my place is in the hierarchy...somewhere between total noob and intermediate (what's intermediate, anyway?). Definitely not advanced. Longest rides I've done are 140 or so miles in a day, out in Landers area/Johnson Valley, etc. I'm pretty used to sand, doesn't mean I really like it though LOL. There, that should muddy it up
