DSM8 390 Posted September 27 Have a project coming up and wanted to see if there was anyone here with experience using a degree wheel for a cam installation. Specifically for a Ford 351 Cleveland motor but that really should not matter. Have not done this since the late 80's so thought to check here first and see if anyone had the wheel etc before i went out and bought something I would only use once. Mr.JAJA 398 Posted September 28 Install a fixed sparkplug in number 1. Turn left, mark location. Turn right, mark location. The center is TDC. Fix the degree wheel on the Cam gear. Take the fixed sparkplug out and turn the crank and watch with a dial gauge when you're intact valve on the first cylinder starts to open. Read the deg on the wheel. I assume you know how to fix the deg wheel and in what position. Now do it on a flat 6 Porsche. Sorry I don't have a picture from it on the Phone.
