Logroller 1 Posted April 24, 2013 I'm hoping some rains actually touch down on the trails this week, fingers crossed on the outlook. Either way I think a run at Lark is in order for this Sunday.

Oracle 195 Posted April 26, 2013 <--------- still hasn't been there. Where is the meeting spot? no pass require there, right?
Logroller 1 Posted April 26, 2013 <--------- still hasn't been there. Where is the meeting spot? no pass require there, right? This is BLM - No pass required. Directions: From Interstate 8, (past Acorn Casino and wind turbines, but before the In-Ko-Pah highway drop) take the Boulevard exit. Proceed south to the stop sign at Old Highway 80. Turn east (left) on Old Highway 80. At approximately two miles, turn north (left) on McCain Valley Road. Continue on McCain Valley Road for approximately four miles. You'll see a DAY USE ONLY area on the left (first entrance point). Take that over to where a tree, benches, and a toilet is located just south of the entrance about 100 yards or so. Please remember the following when riding in the Lark Canyon OHV Area: Only street legal vehicles are allowed on McCain Valley Road. All OHVs must be currently registered for street or off-road use. Lark Canyon OHV Area is open to OHVs less than 40 inches wide. Camping is not permitted in the Day Use Area. OHV use in the wash and on the wash bank next to the campground is prohibited. Spark arresters are required on all OHVs. OHVs are not allowed in Cottonwood Campground. You can camp there if you chose. $6 for a campsite. Sunday's high temp looks to be in the high 70s. scubatoe 0 Posted April 28, 2013 I've never been out to McCain, and would like to give it a shot. Mind if I join you? I'm on a KTM 350 XCF-W, and driving a white Tacoma.

We'll be on Huskies with a wht Ford truck. Looking to start riding by 7:30am. This will not be a noob ride, nor will it be a Trials competition. If you have dirt and some rock riding experience you should be fine.
