Bakertool13 0 Posted August 14, 2012 Whichever one procycle sells on the website , i don't know if there are any performance clutches for a dr350 or anything CID
Goofy Footer 539 Posted August 14, 2012 Whichever one procycle sells on the website , i don't know if there are any performance clutches for a dr350 or anything CID Bakertool, I think CID was joking with the "clutch?" thread hijack motif. You thought CID was a kind and concerned individual. Its okay cause you clearly haven't met the real CID!
tntmo 911 Posted August 14, 2012 Barnett Dirt Digger clutch is one of the performance clutches offered for the DR. I installed one when I had a DR with the 435 kit, the stock clutch slipped and the Barnett was strong. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BARNETT-CLUTCH-KIT-DIRT-DIGGER-KEVLAR-SUZ-DR350-DR350S-/390446089364?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5ae8668494&vxp=mtr Last clutch I installed in a DR was the cheap kit, and it worked fine also. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Suzuki-DR-350-1994-1995-1996-1997-Clutch-Kit-Set-DR350-/200780642645?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2ebf757955&vxp=mtr Also, thanks to everyone for all the hints, tips, advice, etc for the brake hi-jack. Got it working again!
Bakertool13 0 Posted August 14, 2012 Whats the difference in the two? i checked out the barnett site and it didn't say anything really. Will it just last longer? What else do i need to buy? I dont want to end up missing any gaskets or anything. Thanks for all the help as always!
tntmo 911 Posted August 14, 2012 If you plan on keeping the bike and riding a lot of hard off road including sand, get a good quality kit like Barnett or EBC. If you do mostly street riding with light off road, or are just getting it ready to sell then the cheap kit will be fine. I ran a cheap kit in my WR400 with the Rekluse clutch and it worked great. I planned on changing it, had the cheap kit on hand because I had it as a spare and installed it to get going. The Rekluse probably puts a lot of abuse on the clutch pack, but the cheap set never gave me any issues. I'd suggest getting a clutch cover gasket. Sometimes you can change the clutch without having issues, but it's better to have one on hand. http://www.ebay.com/itm/CLUTCH-COVER-GASKET-DR250S-DR350S-90-94-91-92-93-1990-1991-1992-1993-1994-CASE-/140815176713?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20c93d1409&vxp=mtr
Goofy Footer 539 Posted August 14, 2012 ProCycle sells the EBC clutch kit http://www.procycle.us/bikepages/dr350.html Here is is on eBay with free shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/EBC-DRC-Series-Clutch-Kit-DRC58-Suzuki-DR350-90-99-/170879721355?hash=item27c9399f8b&vxp=mtr ProCycle will cost a bit more when you include shipping but they will ship out the same day if you order in the morning. What are people's thoughts on reusing the stock springs vs any heavy duty springs included in a kit?
