Zenosan 2 Posted April 22, 2011 I have used the San Diego Union Home Page as my personal computer Home Page for many years. I figure that since I subscribe to the Union at home I am paying for the service. I have always liked getting the latest local and national news everytime I turn on my computer. When I see a news story that piques my interest I look for it im my hard copy of the paper when I go to the JOHN. But lately they have started to increase their advertising to an annoyingly intrusive level. Pop ups that cover news stories for a time and even automatic TV style commercials that I have to listen to. Anybody got any suggestions for a good Home Page? pyro 1 Posted April 22, 2011 I flip between CNN and Al Jazeera English. The ads on CNN's video feeds have become pretty irritating, mostly because the audio volume is way too loud. So you blow your ears and jump to turn it down before your speakers pop. Then the ad ends and the news story starts and the volume is so low you can't hear the reporter speaking. lol AL Jazeera is pretty much ad free.
