My simple test is to remove the air filter, spray some carburetor cleaner in the throttle body and see if it fires up for a second. If it does, pretty much guarantees that it’s a fuel system issue.
Message me if you want, I can get it going for you.
This guy know his ---- stuff

Check fuel pump
filter can be gummed up with fuel residue
run through the basics
air - filter box is clear and not a mouse nest
spark are you getting any
fuel pump first
lines second
injectors 3rd
where is bike located?

I see that as a fine option and should be pursued for a number of security ventures.

^^ What he said
they are as very active group in the Temecula area.
Its an easy hour ride for me to get to the start of their rides on Wed from where I like, but your closer so might be better arrangements for your situation.Keep an eye on our meetings forum we have the occasional tech day in North County SD

The gobblers are pretty solid aluminum and I figure S101 would have heard about any problems with damage if there were any. They might get beat up, but I doubt I'll actually break them. I'll keep ya'll posted either way. 2 days of rocky big bear and they're still working and adjusting just fine. Should know more this coming weekend.
Anyone know of a lug protector that will work?
I have been looking at mine and am thinking about fabbing something up, it doesn't have to be bullet proof just enough to have something between rock and hard place.
Good project for someone with a handheld scanner and 3d printer.
I will have to make mine out of AL, well just because

BTW where are my maps
😉

Also they used to be some protectors for the bottom of the forks if you can find them worth it to protect the gobblers

are you using mineral oil for the clutch or does it take brake fluid.
It the oil replace it with 1.5 weight fork oil.
Stands up to the heat WAY better than the mineral oil.
If brake fluid just flush it annually. -
@Dan Diego had the exact same problem.
I told him go to any good boot cobbler, they have the tools and sauce that you put on the leather to stretch it in specific areas.
ANY place that can resole boots should be able to do it for you.
Otherwise you get yourself a boot tree and build up that specific area, spray the zone on the inside with the stuff (need to google it) and stretch it out yourself but it might not be a permanent because i think heat is used to affix the leather once it has been stretchedThis is the one I know of in my area

I would encourage our readers to watch this on their big computer screen and not their phones. It’s pretty immersive that way.How goes your ride where are you at now?

How far north you make it today

edit: Doh!! I wrote this at the end of a very long hot ride day and was trying to catch up/burn through a weeks messages.
I woke up at Kennedy Meadows campground not Kernville. Apologies. You're dumb
🤣
Big difference in altitude when camping between Kernville and Kennedy Meadows LOL

They both do the job, I prefer the timecert if it is something that is soft (AL) or thin walled.
Again personal preference.

That is an ideal repair for a timcert
better than a helicoil

Friends 990 had the wires break which killed the bike, happened in a parking lot instead on while riding so was lucky there, easy fix just took time.
Lake has never been so full, still lots of water coming down off the mountain.- 4

There is another group that does a ride every Wed and the post is always Wed Night Ride (with that date in the title)
That would be the best way to manage this.

525 Seat - Asking the 525 gurus
in Equipment & Technical Forum
Posted
I have three tanks.
The exc tank has it's own seat
The Acerbis and Safari use the same seat.
Difference is in the spacing and the pan of the exc has a more material and seems to be at a different angle on the front slope vs. the others but it can be make to work, your just deforming the seat pan more than some would like, and dealing with the gap you see in the above pic at the front part of the seat
