dsfox 0 Posted March 1, 2010 I'd love the GPS training too.....I'm getting better but still many questions....especially with track manipulation.... I'd be happy to host that and serve dinner and drinks?.. .....(ps: I'm a pretty good cook, for things other than brownies too)

2Wheels 0 Posted April 26, 2010 If you go to Ham Radio Outlet in Kearney Mesa, they should be able to give you the info you need to get the Technician license. No Morse code is required for the Tech license and the exam is pretty easy. Spend a few hours studying, and pay an exam fee of about $20. Bingo! You have a license. With the Tech license you can use most of the 144 to 148 Mhz band which is what you'd be using for local bike-to-bike comms anyway.
2Wheels 0 Posted April 26, 2010 This free website has practice exams if you want to get an idea how difficult the Tech exam is. http://www.qrz.com/ham/ To find it without the link, do a search for qrz practice test
