It sounds like a great plan and a lot of fun but my family always does a turkey fry out at Superstition for Thanksgiving. If your ride brings you that way, swing on by for leftovers.

My family and I did that a couple years in a row at the coral pink sand dunes in Utah, best Thanksgiving's I can remember.
