we rode early in an attempt to beat the heat, we didn't expect to see as much wildlife as we did. We saw a doe with a fawn, BIG jack-rabbits, rabbits, roadrunner, chipmunk, lizards. The video footage of this stuff (not posted) looks like blobs as the animals are smart to keep their distance from us maniacs.

SDHydro smacked his boot into a rock and may have broken his foot. This after Kenny broke his foot should help people understand the importance of a good set of boots to reduce the likelihood.

We picked up an additional rider - a dude named Tibereo - solid rider but his bike was in a nasty mood and started overheating.

As you can imagine, it was dry and dusty, however the air felt heavy as if rain was coming. Keep your fingers crossed, maybe spare a prayer to have the water-truck-in-the-sky beat down the dust and firm up those loamy berms.
