Since I was by myself, I stayed away from any difficult trails. I wouldn't attempt the ride up by myself. I found this post about the phantom trail. Interesting story about a ride on the old stagecoach road in a 4x4. http://www.desertusa.com/mag00/nov/stories.../mtnspring.html That is not a phantom trail I rode it today. Tree 0 Posted July 6, 2006 I have to work Saturday so I’m out. Besides my over-the-line teammates don’t want me to ride until after the big tournament. When I showed them my scrape they started calling me Rothlesberger. By the way if anyone is planning on going to fiesta island for the big tournament let me know and I’ll hook you up with a wrist band to get in my sponsors area (free snacks, soda, beer). carguy 1 Posted July 7, 2006 You know I just had to add.When I rode the "Phantom Trial" wednesday I costed from the top almost to the bottom, engine off and on the brakes. On the way down, one of the few times I did not bring my camera I might add, I saw a small herd of big horn sheep and some wild mountain goats. It was kinda cool by myself. Just finding the trial without help was COOL! When you find the road down you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but you just can't turn back! You have to see where it goes. Got a name yet?My Team's name is Clairemont surf shop/John's Automotive we are seeded so we don't play until the second weekend. I'll be down there the first weekend though. I can give Kawie the wrist band to give to you. You'll have to look for the sponsor area for John's automotive/NAPA (there should be signs up. I'm not as aclimated to that weather as you guys... What event is tree talking about at Fiesta Island??Seems like a great ride, specially with all those sheep!!
