McLark sno-day

Recommended Posts

Rode McCain Valley - Lark OHV area today, it was a cold 29 degrees at our 9am KSU. The snow covered ground, frozen hard, didn't provide the usual traction. The riding was washout-tacular. Traction returned as the day warmed to a balmy 47. Fun was had by all. Video http://youtu.be/cdrxZPoJHBI

+1 for epic day! Snow made for beautiful, but "different" conditions. It was a blast and a bit unsettling at the same time! Always an adventure riding "new" terrain / conditions.

Thanks 1kstep for posting the vids and leading the charge. No viddy from me as I am currently between video recording devices. Roommate has some. I'll post up if I can get from him.

BTW... One of the perils of crashing in snow is the lack of knowing what lies beneath. At some point during the day, roommate put the bike down in the snow and gouged and denting his fork tube . . . which proceeded to chew up his for seal. We didn't notice until unloading the bike and saw the pool of fork blood in the bed of the truck!

Be careful out there!

Safe rides,

Chad
