Bagstr 288 Posted September 2, 2014 A clamp type Ohm meter will measure current or flow through a wire. Current flow produces heat. The clamp allows measurement without disconnecting the conductor. Measuring high current towards a system may help identify bad connections or components. That said, I suspect you have a bad battery or an over-charge condition. The heat in the batt is a result of too much current flowing from somewhere. Is the wiring hot as well? Your description seems to be a component heating up to a trip / open circuit condition. I am trying to imagine a device that would reset itself without blowing a fuse. Good luck
Reximus 10 Posted September 3, 2014 The wiring does not get hot. Only the battery and RR. The guys over at ADV forums said I need to ground the RR to the frame.
