Bagstr 288 Posted August 7, 2014 http://www.enduro360.com/2014/08/06/products-tested/2015-ktm-450xcw-review/ I particularly like the statement "It will never match the agility of the 350." Big Bore guys can now pile on about sand dunes and Highway Cruising.
robertaccio 412 Posted August 7, 2014 The Chilly Blanco and Ron show!!! Nice machine, but I like the WHT version better.
HotRod82 2 Posted August 7, 2014 This is the third review I have read that came to the same conclusion.....The 450 seems to bridge the gap between the 350 and 500 making it a favorite. Too bad the lack of a street legal version makes the bike useless for me....Come on Honda, where is my factory plated 450X?
Bagstr 288 Posted August 7, 2014 It's in Idaho! Along side the Orange 450.
Afry 1 Posted August 7, 2014 ....but I like the WHT version better. Agreed but I like the looks of the Husky version even better!

Too bad the lack of a street legal version makes the bike useless for me....Come on Honda, where is my factory plated 450X? Red Moto SpA. Italia, the Honda factory importer (and Enduro world championship team sponsor) has them officially homologated for FIM Enduro= Street legal race ready dirt bikes. EU regs are every bit as tough as Ca., US Honda- they just need to decide to it, it's all ready done elsewhere (many places elsewhere, Italy is just one example). http://www.redmoto.it/moto/enduro/cre-450r PS NO Rob is not going to be the new HRC......I like all machines and the Red Moto is always a top tier brand. PPS Note in addition to the OEM 250 and 450, they homologate 300 and 500 versions as well, Im not much of a Honda guy but a FI 300cc CRF-X plated would be a very potent enduro/XC weapon. As for the long range DS trail guys...that 500 version is head to head comp with the Austrian brand along with the entire 4 bike line up.
Afry 1 Posted August 8, 2014 I wonder what it costs a company like Honda to certify one model for sale in the US? And is it a tiered program where volume works against a company?
robertaccio 412 Posted August 8, 2014 ....but I like the WHT version better. Agreed but I like the looks of the Husky version even better! Thats exactly where I'm at, I have been making fun of my new bike as a new Berg, a white Kato etc! KTMBergAvarna etc. I like the Wht versions better (FE350 and FE501 are 2015 DS legal out of the box-no 450.)
robertaccio 412 Posted August 8, 2014 thread hijack?? I hope not, just adding to the discussion, for Green bike fans KLX450R FIM Homologated KXF450 (EU Street legal version), So if we were in EU we would have a large multi bike choice from both EU and from Asia. http://www.kawasaki.it/it/products/enduro_specialistiche/2014/klx450r/overview?Uid=05CEWlhZXFhZWV5ZWlxZXFlfXF5cWV9GARxFITw
