I am volunteering this year. This will be my 3rd event. Ray contacted me that they are still 4 riders short this year.

My name is Ray Sykes and I am the Moto-Captain for the Ironman 70.3 Triathlon held in Oceanside each year.

As an escort rider you would be taking a passenger around the 53 mile cycling portion of the event, these passengers would typically be a race official of a media cameraman.

The Ironman 70.3 Triathlon will be held on March 29th in Oceanside Harbor with the bike portion ending at the pier again. Of course we will also hold the pre-ride and training on Saturday March 22nd. On event day, each rider will be given a free T-shirt, lunch and compensation for your gas and time ($50.00).

Most importantly for us, a $1,000.00 check will be donated to the Ride for Kids/Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, which is one of the reasons I do this every year.

and sign up to reserve your slot, this will also clear up 'some' of the paperwork ahead of time.

We shall be needing the following information from each rider to submit to Camp Pendleton Security clearance, and the Triathlon insurance. Please make copies and bring with you to the pre-ride:

A copy of your drivers license

A copy of your registration and insurance for the bike.

Your SS#, or a copy of your military ID card.
