tvscum 43 Posted September 25, 2013 Probably a stupid question, but is the dirt section of Mulholland Drive -- known as "Dirt Mulholland" -- in Los Angeles dual sport bike-able? Heading up there on the Scram. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulholland_Drive

Heading up there on the Scram. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulholland_Drive Unfortunately not much dirt is available in the area. Most of dirt Mulholland is behind a locked gate and is a state park fire road (it was open many years ago). There are a few miles that head up from the valley until the gate that is dirt and legal but hardly a destination to go out of your way for, it then turns off into a private paved road into Topanga Canyon the private road has been used for decades but never have gotten any seconds looks when passing through (I did know someone who lived there). What the area does have is twisties, great riding back when I lived there or visited the family and had a Sumo'ed DRZ.

Heading up there on the Scram. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulholland_Drive If you are referring to connecting the dirt stretch between sepulvida and topanga then yes, it's easily passible on your scram. I used to do rally practice in my GTI in the wee hours on that road. However, it gets really soupy if its wet.

Looks like a lot of mountain bikers and hikers on Sundays. Considering The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in LA with my daughter. (She goes to college up there). Scrambler on the slab. https://www.facebook.com/events/149907478538405/ map here: https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=2800+E+Observatory+Ave%2C+Los+Angeles%2C+CA+90027&daddr=34.0979716%2C-118.3447362+to%3A34.0792702%2C-118.4156208+to%3A34.0400138%2C-118.5330799+to%3AMoomat+Ahiko+Way+to%3A33.9940095%2C-118.4772785+to%3A33.9858309%2C-118.4707329+to%3A1001+Venice+Boulevard%2C+Venice+Beach+CA%2C+90291+to%3A34.0345832%2C-118.3789108+to%3A8226+W+Sunset+Blvd++West+Hollywood%2C+CA+90046&hl=en&ll=34.042988%2C-118.394165&spn=0.139681%2C0.279808&sll=34.043272%2C-118.393822&sspn=0.139681%2C0.279808&geocode=FeqaCAIdQOHy-Cn9kHXPYb_CgDFPjjMwJPB98A%3BFTNLCAId4DPy-Cn192I-J7_CgDHxMx1YL7Ajfw%3BFSYCCAId_B7x-CkdTS47E7zCgDEdGttKaqY1xQ%3BFc1oBwIdKVTv-Clx2B68eKPCgDHdVMhvizgetQ%3BFav2BgIdu-fv-A%3BFRm1BgIdIi7w-CmXEw4rz7rCgDEVMF1xDt8BOw%3BFSaVBgIdtEfw-Cnh07FlubrCgDFSYlN-n17N4g%3BFQC2BgId0I3w-CFdwpXLRWoiXCnBJlG_krrCgDFdwpXLRWoiXA%3BFZdTBwIdYq7x-ClL1lHed7nCgDHq3Sd9lrcYZQ%3BFe1ICAIdcdjx-Cl19RgWwL7CgDHbGLAoy2u15A&gl=us&mra=dpe&mrsp=8&sz=12&via=1%2C2%2C3%2C5%2C6%2C8&t=m&z=
