Chad 0 Posted August 24, 2013 Roommate and I decided last minute to do a afternoon-dusk-dark ride at Corral. Wanted to get a taste of night riding on the trails. Our rides are typically easy progressing to intermediate stuff. 1, 2, 4, 6 stuff, on to ranger 8, 9, stuff, then maybe 3 or 3A. Will likely stick to 1, 2, maybe 4/6 after the sun goes down. Probably NOT noob friendly after the first couple of trails, and certainly not after dark. Leaving PB around 5pm, hope to arrive Corral @ 6. Riding by 6:30. Will look to stage at Bobcat for easy access to a variety of trails. Would greatly appreciate any weather report/predictions from those out Alpine / Pine Valley way! Will check back here a couple of times and right before leaving for interest. Hopefully once more remotely around Alpine. Post up if you are interested... Full cloud cover moving into area now, temps coming down (86 degrees at 4:15pm in Descanso). Doesn't look too ominus at this point, you could encounter a pop-up shower before the night is over. Boulivard got hammered yesterday around this time, then it all just faded back to the south. Have Fun.

Logroller 1 Posted August 25, 2013 Hitting Corral Sunday morning. Expected to be more of the rain day, allegedly later in the morning. If Wildwood or anyone is up early, plan on riding by 7amish, a weather report would be great. Chad, let us know how it went, dark riding that is.
Chad 0 Posted August 25, 2013 Ride was awesome! Love the night riding. Skies were crystal clear directly over Corral. Clouds and rain stayed off in the distance. Still dusty out there. I'll post a ride report tomorrow. Have to check the vids to see if I have anything worth posting...
