Uncle Champ 116 Posted December 5, 2011 Hello, This may be a bit technical and out of way for most ( it is a Honda afterall). Anyway the headlight went out on my X so I figured the bulb was bad, I took the bulb out and did a continuity test and both filaments were good. One contact was corroded so I cleaned that and reinstalled, powered up the light and no light , took it apart and the pigtail is melty. OK this is where it gets good the X only has low beam but the bulb is hi and low as is the wiring loom up to the pigtail. I checked on Thumper talk and the gist is because the X wasn't meant to be street legal in the U.S. they did not wire it for a high beam. I can make a pigtail but would rather buy one factory so do's anybody know if there might be a "european, Japanese" or something site that might offer this? Thanks, Unc C.
