Had a great ride Sunday- exactly as planned. If I remember correctly, we had CalNub, rockin (and I mean ROCKIN) the 650 GS, Doctor Z, Eddie, Thane, RiggerDan and BikeSlut. Great to have some new faces!

Sadly, Bikeslut failed tech inspection and had to go home rideless. A no-start on the mighty Super DRZ, suspected carb issue, and in retrospect, we probably shouldn't have tried so hard to get it started- the cylinder may have been full of gas.

I saw some cameras, maybe someone will post some images. Good conditions, we did Kernan, 1, 4 and the little trail whos name I don't know back to 4 corners, then Kernan back to the transport. About 2.5 hours of solid riding.

No injuries were reported to people, the 650 had some issues with it's plastic parts, but CalNub dis an amazing job on all these trails.

Heres a few shots from my camera yesterday @ Corral

Trying to keep up with Pee Bee, my creative windows for photo op's were somewhat limiting...

The BMW650 totally stole the show, developed a meaner and meaner look at every intersection - really great riding...!!

I had a great time "dual sported" from Jamul - with a 0600 departure

its never that fun waking up early but the ride / morning light was amazing

Topped off in PV then took bear valley to Kernan over the hill to meet the guys

First time meeting bikeslut and was looking forward to riding with him - as Paul said technical difficulties

A+ for good attitude

We all ended the ride successfully

Eddie and I took Kernan back over the hill and back to PV for some fuel a well needed ice cold Coca Cola

He jumped on the 8 and I took 79 home

Thanks again

and glad to have met thane, doctor, and 650 wild man

Slight trailside plastic reconnection, I think Paul was directing the operation from left shoulder....Doctor was just making sure?

Thanks for the coordination and open invite. Had a great Ride. I was super impressed with Aaron on that 650. Wow. Too bad it took some hits. I am impressed. Not sure it was fun for you but what a champ.

You are all too kind, I just felt bad for slowing everyone down. But for your amusement here's a complete list of the damage (not including scratches or my ego):

bent rear brake pedal

bent front brake lever

bent clutch lever

shattered windscreen (guilloscreen)

broken left-side miror

shattered right front turn signal

dented front brake reservoir

shifted left-side faux tank cover

All in all not a bad list considering it did spend a good amount of time completely upside-down.

Thanks for the ride guys, it was fun trying to keep up as well as finding (and exceeding) my own limits. Until next time.

-Aaron

Hey, not bad for a first ride- not bad at all!

Keep up the excellent work....

Oh- you really didn't hold us up at all. Just enough to catch our collective breaths.

I had a great time. First time meeting everybody except Bikeslut. Too bad Bob could'nt ride with us.

Thanx Paul for leading us around. I was amazed how few people were out there.

Paul, Thane, Dan, Ed, and Aaron...Nice meeting you all. Hope we ride again soon! Dennis

I was amazed how few people were out there.

Thus the early start time.

Right about the time we left is when I start feeling ookey about being on the trail.

Nice to meet you, Dennis, hope to ride again soon!

well, I was super bummed about missing one of my few opportunities to ride...

I spent an hour swapping tires and drive chain the day before, fired the bike up and acted stupid on 1.06 acres for about 5 minutes... bike worked fine

unloaded at Corral, and fired the bike up... started fine

gear up, and go to start the bike and nothing... like rrr...

tried to jump it from my truck... rrr...

ask the boys to bump start me... nothing

ask paul to tug start me... 20 foot darkie in the road

come home and see some more gas coming from the air box overflow... unload the bike, and it starts right up

so... float valve needle is my best guess... unfortunately, at this time, my garage is a tomb for all the crap that won't fit in my house while remodeling... so it'll have to sit

I should've brought the TTR125...

Aaron, Ed, Dan, Paul, Thane and Dennis (am I forgetting anybody?) glad you guys got a good ride in; sorry for delaying the start

Nice pictures Paul, thanks for sharing as always
