That road looks like the one on LA-b-V day 2 before between Baker and Sandy Valley. The roll charts says 42 miles and most of it is Desert Tortuse area-so 30MPH maximun speed----------Bbbbbbbbbbooooooooorrrrrrriiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg!

Complete route to the river is planned out. It's done in 3 legs, and currently stops at 2 gas stations with options for 2 more. Unfortunately the optional stops are quite off course so I think of them more as emergency replenishments than planned stops. Does anybody know if gas is available at the Pair-a-dice or in Glamis? I'll be working on total mileages of each leg soon. It looks like a 150 mile off-road range will be needed. This is a preliminary estimate, but a safe bet. I'll post more info when I can.

I have seen a bobcat in arrowhead after the big fires. I was by myself and he wasnt running away from the trail. I got off the bike and walked over to it, about fifteen feet away. I spit out a classic " Hey kitty kitty, pss pss!" Its eyes got twice as wide and he started needling the ground. At this moment I thought to myself, dumbass, put your helmet on!

At this point I am getting ready to meet you up in the mountains. I am planning on loading up the truck and heading out tonight. I will stay in our place at Lake Gregory, and drive up and meet you in the morning. I am nursing a hurt knee, so not looking to get crazy. I would like to get to know some trails up there.

Tank top. Ouch!! I bet that girl got some serious road rash, maybe broken bones. Even when hot I wear gloves just in case I go down I can use my hands to try and soften blow.
