I have established separate categories in the Equipment & Technical section to eliminate threads like this. The original equipment and technical thread has valuable information in it, but is to hard to find the information that is buried within it. There is lots of valuable info in this thread, but it needs to be where people can find it. I am going through and putting equipment and technical thread and moving each topic to its appropriate category. Please try to keep information organized. Thank you

I agree with Tom's line of thinking. Air cooled with a kick start. If we can choose a modified bike, then I would go with a xr650l with a kickstart. Need something that would have a ton of parts out there and be simple to fix.

Dave, did you try bending the tab on the top?

It really seems to be the wave of the future. The price of entry is what makes it reasonable to try.

The Mob Armor mount came today. First impressions are light and heavy duty. When I mounted the phone in the mount is was good, but I could move the phone in the top of the mount with some force. There was no button interference. In the original design the metal tab on top is just bent with a 45 deg angle. I did not like it. I took it to the vise and straightened and put a small bend like the lower mounting tabs. Rock solid! It does not move. A little velcro like Loren suggests just for peace of mind and good to go.

Yes I agree. I have plenty of Industrial velcro. I was going to add the velcro on the mount and the back of the phone as I believe it will tighten the phone in the cradle. I will see about adding a rubber/ silicone band if it wont interfere with the buttons. Unfortunately the mount will take a while to get here.

I found this. It will mount with the ball mount you already have. Made from aluminum with minimal contact to the phone. Looking at the phone it should not hit any buttons. I figured I would try the Roam Co- Pilot, but to much button interference. Any other suggestions for a mount?
