robertaccio 412 Posted February 20, 2014 Don't know if its coming here to US, but here is the Gas Gas EC Cami 250, a budget 250 DS bike. It's a nice looking Spanish moto. http://www.enduro21.com/index.php/component/k2/item/1682-first-look-%E2%80%93-gas-gas-ec-250-4t-cami
PastaPilot 17 Posted February 20, 2014 Is that the Yamaha WR engined bike or was that the 450 that they ran for a few years?
robertaccio 412 Posted February 20, 2014 rumor is that the motor is sourced from one of the Chinese motor manufacturers, I checked all the EU motor manufacturers and could not find a similar design so that rumor may be correct. But from where? Taiwan (KYMCO for one) or the mainland. Plus there really are so many sources for engines from all over the world India is now a source...so you guess it? PastaPilot 17 Posted February 21, 2014 Not the Yamie engine on the new Cami. I see they do use the Yamaha 250 and 450 engines on their EU enduro machines. The article mentioned the Cami was designed for the Brazilian market so perhaps something from South America? They do make an exceptionally good looking bike. robertaccio 412 Posted February 21, 2014 Could be sourced from Brazil (as the bike has been designed for that emerging market) as Jon said, and that even makes sense for market/Gov satisfaction, for the home market economy. Creating inexpensive robust simple basic transportation (2 wheeled especially) for emerging markets is where the high volume, big $ is.
Afry 1 Posted February 21, 2014 50 lbs lighter than a Wr250r is respectable but if it comes here that will change thanks to EPA and DOT. Non adjustable suspension is not a good thing. Interesting to see no FI but maybe better for back roads repair. Very nice looking bike!
