Recommended Posts

http://www.labarstowvegas.com/

District 37 Dual Sport has succeeded in making LA-B-to-V the most famous and longest two-day Dual Sport ride in the world. This is the 27th year for the best 400 mile-plus dual sport ride of the year. This year’s tour will start the day after Thanksgiving from Palmdale Supercycles with new, creative routes chosen to Barstow and Las Vegas. Your gear bag will be transported from point-to-point each day. Large Adventure bikes, vintage bikes, side-hacks and small displacement bikes are all welcome to join in the fun with the regular dual sport bikes-as long as they are street legal. After an overnight stop in Barstow, the route continues to The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas for the exciting Saturday night Awards Ceremony with a raffle and lots of prizes. Visit the dual sport message board at for updates or to arrange carpooling for the ride. For more information call Kieth Huff at 562-244-0244 or Paul Flanders at 626-792-7384

Entries postmarked or received in person after 11/16/2010 will pay an additional $15 for post entry.

START Day 1 - Palmdale, California - Friday Nov. 26th 2010

FINISH Day 1 - in Barstow, California

START Day 2 - in Barstow, California - Saturday Nov. 27th 2010

FINISH Day 2 - in Las Vegas, Nevada

There will be Hors D’oeuvres Saturday following the ride. Apparently no buffet this year???

Garmin GPS tracks will be AVAILABLE AT THE EVENT.

I'll be riding up to Primm/Sandy Valley from Bullhead City on day 2 (Sat the 27th) to meet up with some friends (hopefully).......then ride into Vegas via Red Rock Canyon.

Same ride I did last year but this year I'm not poaching any singletrack :rolleyes:

Last year's report:

I won't be going.......will be going all over Utah that week, including Moab. Not a bike trip, but will have the 950 with us in the truck, so we can at least do SOME riding, especially in Moab.

I'm in for both days with KLXguy.

I'll have a 4 or 5 bike trailer in Vegas with 1 or 2 spots open to return on Monday.

Passing through Barstow on to Palmdale then home to Big Bear mid/late day Monday the 29th.

1 spot open in the SUV also.

Looks like Josh (KLXguy) will be stuck on a fishing boat in Alaska.

So as of today, until he cancels, that leaves a room in Palmdale and Vegas.

As well as a paid entry fee (two days), dinner, T-shiirt and maybe a plaque.

Anyone interewsted if it can be transfered?

I'm looking to catch day two (Barstow-Vegas). Just trying to catch a lift back to Barstow.

Not coming back to Barstow until mid late day Monday. But you're welcome to join us either for the B2V leg and/or the ride back.

Thanks, John. Monday's workable, but not sure I want to ride back. Are you taking trails or the Highway on the way back?

Trailering home mid day Monday. Possibly following a short beginner ride for my girlfriend.

Gotta drop her daughter at Vegas airport 0600 Monday then off to a scenic beginner ride. Maybe Christmas Tree Pass down towards Laughlin. Or even the truck trail up and over Red Rock (assuming there is no snow/ice).

Regardless, Let's ride the Saturday leg. I've got a rider coming up from Vegas to ride Saturday. Ex Score racer, chase vehicle, radio, large trailer. (Assuming he's here for an EARLY start. 0600-0630)

Call me.
