Crawdaddy 96 Posted May 21, 2010 Maybe next Spring / Summer we could make the “Long Way Home” ride a weekly or every other week event? Sometimes I take the Long Way home from Carlsbad to Ramona……just a mellow/scenic road ride with a tad bit of dirt sprinkled in……usually gas up at North County Fair Mall (Chevron) then take Bear Valley up to Lake Wolford Rd., ride along the lake, then cut across Pala, left on 76 then ride up Nate Harrison (dirt), down Palomar East Grade, stop at Hideout if it’s open (heard they may open it on Friday’s starting in May though they probably close early even if they are open), Mesa Grande, Black Canyon (dirt), Upper Santa Isabel TT (dirt), Pamo Rd. – Ramona.......option to ride some back roads/dirt over to Cheers for a quick burger/beer before heading home.....
