Bagstr 288 Posted May 21, 2010 Had a chance to use the 14/50 ratio Wednesday and liked the feel. Second gear now has more punch for launching off water bars etc. Sixth gear on the pavement starts getting buzzy at about 55mph but will run @ 60. If I were to do a long road trip, say in Colorado, carrying a 15 or 16 tooth countershaft gear might be worthwhile. Overall, second and third are now the fun zone. PS, Didn't need to split the chain moving from 14/48. Just turned the blocks and had plenty of adjustment. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
