cmayer31 3 Posted April 22, 2010 E bikes in China are huge! You see them everywhere and they are becoming a lot more popular than motorcycles or mopeds. We have a few of the Chinese made E bikes at our office and we ride them to and from our remote warehouse, approx. 500 yards from our main office/warehouse. They're really convenient for pulling quick orders, or just getting around our little complex here. The problem is the average American is over-sized for the electric motors used on the Chinese made bikes. The result, from what I've seen, is people here don't like the idea that they have to pedal at times because they're too big to rely solely on the motor. On flat ground they're pretty quick, but I do have to help them up hill by pedaling. I think we're getting about 15-20 miles per charge mattering on how much we pedal, and charging takes a few hours. DesmoStucky 0 Posted April 22, 2010 Electric Bikes are cool! I'm selling mine though; I need to fund my new ICE bike. No title, so it would be difficult to title in CA. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/mcy/1694291814.html -Mike

I have been building an e-bike(bicycle) myself and will post up some pics when I am done.
