For those of you who have ham radio licenses and are planning a trip to one of the CEPT countries listed, you could bring your radio and operate under the conditions in the public notice. darylhunter 1 Posted September 10, 2009 Right, CEPT is a Europe thing, and nope, no technician or novice classes. I think the issue is that the CEPT countries don't have the concept of a novice license, and also that US hams get tested to an easier standard in the lower classes so in order to better align things, the technican and novice classes loose out.
