sweet pics, i see you ended up getting some 606's rob how were they in the snow???

I like them so far, I just got them on Friday evening. Instead of sliding the bike around turns I seem get to control it a little. I think I like that. I need to ride more to be sure though.

Thanks for sharing a great photo stories on your Thomas Mountain adventure. I always enjoy seeing group of riders having fun together to enjoy life.

Buy I don't think I am ready to handle snow riding with my novice level skills yet. So what's special riding techniques you guys use when riding into snow? What kind of tires do you use for those type of terrain. What suspension set-up and gear ratio will work best to tackle getting thru snow? Novice riders like to hear from the Pro...

;) Novice riders always wondering,

Gery

Theres nothing to it. you put both feet down, off either side of the bike and try not to fall over.

we were able to cross the snow when it was just patches here and there.

However, as soon as the snow was covering the road for more than a dozen or two feet, we were dead in the water. or dead in the snow i should say.

no traction equals no progress. and that was on relatively level ground.

i have had no luck at all going uphill in the snow, studed tires are what is needed.

coming down a snowy and icy hill is the time for faith to get you through. use first gear and never hit the brakes.

this snow that we found was weeks old and it was more like a sheet of ice.

the pictures of Me and Rob standing next to our bikes is just a few feet from where we had to turn around.

turning around wasnt easy either.

waterproof boots would be a good idea as well.
