MrR1200GS 0 Posted February 28, 2008 I recently found this forum while searching the web for a used bike. I will be in San Diego in April, to go on my first ride down into Baja. I am doing it the ride the Wimp way, in my opinion, but I figure my first time I would go with a tour group. Chris Haines to be exact. I am on my second BMW GS. I have ridden Big Bend NP jeep roads on a GS. It would have been more fun on a more more dirt oriented bike, but the rest of the 2100 miles we rode in 4 days would have killed me. I am looking to purchase a smaller more dirt capable bike in the near future. I had hoped to have bought one already, but I have been having to give our money to my Uncle lately. Uncle Sam that is. I plan on having a bike, hopefully a 2008 Husqvarna TE610 by next year. I plan on riding down to Copper Canyon with a group of guys in February.
