tp2400 0 Posted June 2, 2015 So I searched the threads and couldn't find any that talked about them, only went through the first 2 pages so there is probability that I missed one. But anyway. I was looking for a temp gauge for the KTM, I ended up on the Trail Tech website. Found the temp gauge for $85, then saw the computers for $125. Sooo, looking at the Vapor or Striker, looks like the only main difference is RPM vs Voltage readouts. Reaching out for opinions and thoughts, especially those that own them. Also, tips on install. Looking at the instructions they look pretty straight forward. Thanks! http://www.trailtech.net/computer-comparison
Honda90 0 Posted June 2, 2015 I have the striker. Had someone install it for me. The heat sensor is connected to a head bolt. It worked fine for about a year; but now head temp readings are all over the road. I have no idea why. Speed and odometer still work ok.
dstss 27 Posted June 2, 2015 I have the Vapor. Pretty easy install although I kind of McGuivered the mount to get it where I wanted it. On my exc the temp sensor just replaces the bleed bolt on the right side radiator. I like the whole setup. I don't have great eyesight but it's pretty easy to see the readouts even in the sunlight.
