Death Valley Trip 3/5/15-3/8/15

Recommended Posts

First off I had such a great time this being my first trip to Death Valley. Big thanks to Cablejockey(john) for renting the group site and for flexfab(greg) for leading the rides and showing us some of what DV has to offer. Unfortunate about your bike situation but sh!t happens. I got to meet wintyfresh and his pal Daniel that were doing more celebrating then riding I believe so didn't get a chance to ride with them. Overall I had such a great time and already looking forward to the next trip back. Ill post some vids once I have time to learn how to edit gopro raw footage lol but heres some pics for the mean time.

Please everyone post up any pics you have. The ride back from the crater with guids and bushwhacker(paul) to tea kettle junction then over hunter mountain was an epic ride for me. Something ill never forget. Oh and don't forget about the Beast we saw....which turned out to be a calf. Man that thing could run pretty fast. Paul is the man on his klr650. If he ever got a small bike we'd be in trouble. Thanks to everyone that help make this an awesome trip.

+1 on that sdhydro! :) Thanks so very much to all, especially to Cablejockey John for his support and enthusiasm. The "Guide" flexfab who knew every turn ... and maybe every rock in the valley - Thank you. sdhydro opened it up along with Paul, the KLR King, who threw that big bike around like a mini-bike. On Saturday, the son and Pa team demonstrated that the could get their bikes moving too-- one on dirt and one on the road!! Big, long, moving fast miles were a great delight both on and off the road!! A truly Fantastic trip!! Cheers.

Awoke to a beautiful sunrise at Panamint Spings resort :)

Exploring the Mines was great, but watch out for characters lurking in the background

It was soooo beautiful, I think we should stay in second gear for awhile and just roll along, and along, and along...

The sign of a great ride.... is when the shadows get long, and you catch yourself begging for more daylight!!

Team discussion- Hey, which way do we go, that way, not this way, no that way....when all ways are the right way!

Typical tourist at the Crater, ready to chat with every other Enduro rider that also stops by to take in the incredible sights!

The Italian Stallion having arrived to the Kilns, and the snow, when only a short time ago was below sea level,

hmmmm, must have gotten here quickly!

Besides the Kilns, we got to see the Great Gazoo in full costume, including the bulbous Helmet - haha

What a Super trip, and I will look forward to going again, and bringing along as many friends as I can! If you are reading this and haven't gone, plan to go when the riding temps are from 68 degrees at altitude to 88 degrees when below sea level, all within minutes of each other! Thanks to all!
