Ken S 164 Posted February 6, 2015 Been itching to ride the washes that you see from I-8 as you head down the grade to the desert and head east and see how far up we can get.. Start near the gas station or old abandoned service station at the ocotillo exit. There will be lots of sand and rocks. Intermediate pace. Lots of breaks if needed. I can drive from Alpine if you want to load in my truck. Prefer to be riding by 7am. Kenny

Ken S 164 Posted February 6, 2015 Go with me Chad. I figured out how to get over my fear of riding sand. Ride lots and lots of sand.
eastcountyktm 0 Posted February 7, 2015 I've been wanting to do the same thing, too bad I can't make it tomorrow. I was looking at Google Earth and it looks like you can make it almost to mountain springs if you go up the wash on the west bound side. But it's hard to tell for sure because you can't see any fences or other hazards that might stop you.
Chad 0 Posted February 8, 2015 I hear ya, brother... Learned a bit of a sand lesson out at Superstition a couple, three weeks ago. Riding McCain tomorrow. Missed this for today. Looks like you had a good adventure!
