  1. I think that's the hill I went down last weekend riding with CVRick. Its not as bad as it looks, but If your using a trials tire in the back I wouldn't recommend trying it if your not confident with your downhill skills. I like downhill challenges but it got a little crazy with the trials tire a few times.
  2. The hill wasn't that bad except for the MT43 tire acting like a skate making the rear want to come around any chance it could.
  3. Thanks cvrick for showing us around, I had a good time. I think I remember you saying at the top of that gnarly hill, if I went down you would buy lunch? I'll give you a pass since you were the tour guide.
  4. No, I didn't see any big bikes, not sure if anybody else in the group did. Great day out there huh!
  5. Ok thanks, I'll check that out.
  6. Is there anywhere to stage from down there?
  7. I should be able to make it, I'll know in a couple hours. Do you park at Pio Pico, or are you riding there?

Correct on the saddle bags BP...Wolfman Daytrippers handle two tubes, slime electric pump, spoons and trail tools. Snacks, water, first-aid, poncho, space blanket, head lamp, pocket knife, whistle, etc. go in the Ogio Flight Vest. Ok, thanks I'll check out the Wolfman Daytrippers. Is there anywhere in town that sells them?

Decent gun store in Lakeside area?

Fine Firearms in La Mesa is a good place also.

Looks like an awesome time in the desert. What saddle bags are you guys using? I want to get ones big enough for tubes and tools but not too big to get in the way.

    First Aid Class 2/25/16

In, as long as schedule works out.
  13. Yes, that is why I do this loop frequently. One tanks of gas, good place to park, and amenities at the start and finish if you need them. You can easily stretch it out if you want to also. After fish creek you can go through OW to Borrego for food and gas and then multiple choices from there to get back. You can also do the loop you did and gas up in Ocotillo and do a south loop towards the border. I've done many 200+ mile trips from there.
  14. I tried to make the ride but I couldn't swing it. Looks like you had a good time, sorry I missed it. Pretty much the same ride we did with PdbBlue a couple of weeks ago, only we skipped the whoops heading towards Painted Gorge ( thankfully)!
