Joliet 0 Posted February 11, 2013 FYI, some of the time these don't seize because of corrosion, but because of the welding bead or slag inside the tube is harder than the bolt. When the bolts get run in farther than the threads were cut, it damages the threads on the bolt, and the bolt seizes coming out. All the anti-seize in the world won't help in that situation, you need to pull the bolts out and chase the holes with a long tap, before the bolts are run in too far. Drill and thred and managed to get a new bolt in place. What a pain!! go anti seize your bolts! saves you time and money. Now its time to go ride! To much work and not enough play.
