CL300CAPT 0 Posted May 29, 2012 So I like to ride off road, but dont have a truck or way to tow a bike to the dirt. So I says to myself "self you should get yourself an Enduro so you can ride to the dirt, have fun, then ride home" Then I set out looking at these so called Dual Sports and bought a DR-Z400. Ok, long story short..... too late, I know. I live in San Marcos, so where can I get this bike dirty without having to mix it up with traffic for 2 hours each way? What about up towards Julian or Ramona? Any and all ideas are welcomed and appreciated! Thanks! Charlie

brij 0 Posted May 30, 2012 Hello Charlie, I am pretty much in the same boat as you are. I am also in San Marcos and been trying to find places to ride that are not 2hrs away. I did ride some truck trails around Ramona. But looking for more places to ride. Brij
Afry 1 Posted May 30, 2012 If you have a droid do yourself a favor and spend the one time $20 fee and start riding the trails available on dualsportmaps.com. I find it's just as handy as my gps but bigger screen, only drawback is your phone is on your bars (ram mount).
CL300CAPT 0 Posted May 30, 2012 Thanks for the Droid idea, that's what I have. Charlie
X-country-Rider 0 Posted May 31, 2012 Check out this route from our last www.socaldualsport.com ride. The blue tracks are dirt and some quality stuff there no doubt. My favorite tracks on this route were Rouse Hill Rd and Thomas Mountain. http://www.dualsportmaps.com/?link=104405 Craig
