That would be great Rex. Maybe some other SDAR members from up north can join you ??

I'll probably attend the one down here in Jamul.

I am talking to Ed from CORVA (Ed has been at a couple of our SDAR meetings, he's now with CORVA instead of SDORC), and will see which of the meetings or if all of them will be beneficial to attend. I will try to make them all if necessary.

A big portion of this BLM planning area runs from the west side of Otay Mountain to Boulevard area. In the North County it runs up into the Beauty Mountain areas. I don't know that area very well. All of the roads and trails along the Border are in danger of being closed to "administration use only". Some routes will be street legal only. Greensticker use is being eliminated except for a handful of routes. Please attend these meetings. I'll be at the Jamul meeting, not sure if I can make it to the North County one.

Thanks,

John Elliott

Definitely be at the temecula one!

Interesting meeting, seems that all the alternative RMPs they came up with would close AT LEAST HALF of the OHV routes currently open. Bad for anyone with a green/red sticker. They did talk about leaving open or opening more routes to street legal vehicles only, which would be good for us with plates. They also mentioned that a lot of the closures would be to routes that are surrounded by private property.

They want comments!!! In writing! Deadline is the 22nd or 23rd.

This is only concerning BLM land in LA, Riverside and San Diego Counties (not the desert BLM lands)

Thanks for going ! I missed the one in Jamul, thought it was next week.

The most important thing is to submit comments before the deadline.

While it's not always super important to attend some of these meetings in person, it is always informative and a learning experience.....always GOOD TO STAY INFORMED about issues affecting our sport and our lands !
