rwynant 0 Posted April 13, 2007 Hi Guys, I am wondering if the Corral area down at the camp sites might be open yet? I'd like to take my daughter and her friend somewhere other than McCain or by Campo and the border roads. Thanks I appreciate the input!

tntmo 901 Posted April 13, 2007 Hi Guys, I am wondering if the Corral area down at the camp sites might be open yet? I'd like to take my daughter and her friend somewhere other than McCain or by Campo and the border roads. Thanks I appreciate the input! I camped there with my son just two weeks ago. About half of the OHV riding area is open and both campsites are open. Everything that is closed is fenced off. Let me know wen you are heading that way, we would love to join you. carguy 1 Posted April 14, 2007 Both Bobcat meadows and Corral canyon camp grounds are open. Please respect the fenced areas when you visit and check out our adopted trail "Kernan Cycle Trail" from 4 corners to the paved road in(Morena Stokes Valley Road)
rwynant 0 Posted April 14, 2007 Thank you guys! I figured if the access off of Buckman Springs was closed, then we'd just go hit the trails off the border road. But since it's open, we'll take the kids on the big loop. We'll be heading out from Santee at around 9am which puts us out there about 10am....under the trees in the lower camp ground. Dark Blue 2002 Trail Blazer, blue TTR125, Red CR150F, Blue DRZ400S....swing on down!!! Thanks again for the info, and we'll be staying on the open trails. http://www.sundaysocialclub.com/gallery/di...m=112&pos=0 http://www.sundaysocialclub.com/gallery/di...m=112&pos=1 http://www.sundaysocialclub.com/gallery/di...m=112&pos=

rwynant 0 Posted April 19, 2007 YUP, I'm a brain surgeon....That was last Saturday. Unfortunately, the loop trail out of the lower campground was in fact closed. So we ended up going down by the border. Here's one of the videos....Let me know that you can view it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1A3lw1M_8k
