CableJockey 1 Posted May 15, 2011 The Yaesu FTM-10SR is being discontinued. I had not purchased one because they were in the $300+ range. Amateur Electronic Supply is closing them out for $199 ($209 delivered to my door) including a speaker mic. This radio is waterproof and covers 2M, 440, AM, FM, and weather. With some optional cables you can plug in your IPOD or ????? The front panel has a mic, speaker, and PTT button so it can be used without the speaker mic. The transmitter and receiver are in a remote box that I think will hide below the headlight in my DRZ. I will have to figure out how to get it to work, selectively, with and without the helmet plugged in. No more tank bag, nothing in the backpack, and I can see the display and adjust the volume on the fly. Lookin' forward to a cleaner installation. If you're interested, don't wait.
