  1. @Zubb may have just rode his GSA all through there
  2. These are still available, just they are back in the owner's garage, if interested let me know and I'll put you in touch with Kyle 🤙
  3. Buddy is selling his street wheel set for his 701 Enduro (Which means they also fit KTM 690, GasGas 700, and whatever else they fit). Warp 9 Elite, very nice set of wheels already wrapped in rubber. Kush drive, brakes are same size as enduro (not the specific SM) models. $600 Total . (will also post rear price sheet as that is just for front)
  4. Is this the ADVRIDER event? Cool stuff seen Toms pics, seems they were there too, looks like you all found some interesting sights
  5. I trailered the KLX out to the desert, and met Perry there (he trucked his 500 out), the weather was 'interesting' as it both snowed and rained on us, but it would intermittently be sunny so was somehow just fine

    Plastic Battery Box - Free

  7. I'm Just north of Lakeside off the 67, so Ramona is only 15-20 min away Usually meet for rides in Ramona
  8. Saturday I can probably scrub footage and pull a couple frames with you guys, we saw a lot of packs of ADV's in the desert, Sunday we didn't have all day, so wanted to go have some fun on the Black Mtn Stuff, and Oroscoe, etc but all the gates are shut. Also checked the ranger page and saw High Point, Lost Valley, etc were shut so we just continued on Black Canyon, Mesa Grande, 76 - could smell the fireplace and food getting started at Hideout so we put a pin in that idea for after, ran up Nate which turned out to be a lot of fun right now, down East Grade, back to Hideout for the fire and bbq Yep My 690, Kyle's 701 Glad the shoulder is working out, sucks being injured.
  9. @BigJon01 we also did a bit of a locked gate tour but on Sunday, may have crossed paths with you guys on saturday when I was on the streety bikes with @J5ive though Saturday nice street ride all over with Johnny (I got to ride that Harley for a while, I can see why it's a thing, nice bike!). Sunday Kyle and I made the most of things after finding locked gates, honoring them, and moving elsewhere (Nate Harrison, which is open) , on the big thumpers:
  10. They came off a 2021 Husky 701 Enduro which has 'safety yellow' as part of it's colorway, I agree though, they do look fantastic
  11. Friend of mine bought two wrong sized rear tires while on deployment. Dunlop TrailMax Mission 150/70/18" (x2). Helping him sell, $300 for both. Never mounted. Pickup in Lakeside. Manufacture Date 11/2023
  12. Wow one of them is over where I live, that would be convenient 🤙🏻
  13. Really cool bike, at a really cool price, good luck with the sale ✌️

    Why AI is bad

To be fair, there is a lot more context in the prompt used to generate that image than "Average Adventure Rider" lol This was a very directed attack lol

A fun day in the shop...

Very nice, I need to get some nice shorties for the multipasta, maybe I’ll check those out 💅😎🫡
  17. Twas a good time @Zubb but the SDAR Mountain Dash, Night ride, and various other SDAR things I've been to have also been a good time for sure - looking forward to the next ride.
  18. Here is a shot from @Hawkins Skydeo drone. Black mtn wasn't on the ADV rally map or book, but we had a big group, several not-local folks, and it was a big hit. 10 bikes to the top, and back down, varying bikes and experience levels, great group! Bikes: 901 Norden, Honda AT DCT AS, R1200GSA, 500exc, crf300l, 690er, 390 adv, xr650l, 690 rally, 701e. Rest of pics are here.
  19. Would love to participate in the next one 🤙
  20. Pics from our 2023 AVD Rally We tossed one photo up for points at Alamo in Salton, because it lined up that day with the bikes (but that was our total, 3 points), big group, too big to try to fuss points no worries. Good attitudes among riders and folks readily volunteering to help sweep made our second day's riding about the kind of day you want to keep in a bottle, so thanks for being excellent group supports and offering to chase @moto_rph and @Hawkins. @J5ive I wanted to give a shoutout, you did great on the XR650L, and that sand at the Grapevine entrance from banner was no joke! We had folks from Oregon (trailered), and Eric on the Honda CRF 300 L with the Giant loop bags rode that thing to the rally from north of Stockton CA, and wasn't really complaining about - how about that seat concepts advertisement? Anyhoo, good times, always look forward to this event, rides with friends during the day, stories and libations around a campfire at night, sounds good to me. - Nick
  21. If anyone needs to use it ill have a rabaconda, and bike lift/stand, static balancer over at FOB Farkle, I do have an adapter for those that hub mount rears like the bavarian beasts.
  22. @padu you and any of your other highly trained friends could probably give the current champion team a run for their money for sure 💪
  23. Yep, will be the 5th year going. I really really like this event. It blows the Get ON ADV fest out of the water, no comparison. Hopefully the addition of using this new app for the points doesn't harsh the vibes for the pro racers but I'm sure it will be great anyway. Our first year it was me and two other friends i worked with, we had a blast, and collected a few people from the camps around us. A couple of those original collected new friends still show up when they can make it and stay in touch. Over the last 4 years folks have moved, etc, but always end up having a good time with whatever motly crew is present. This year have friends from back home in Oregon bringing their orange bikes down, and friends from here, we should have about 9 folks of various bikes and experience levels, well figure it out and have a good time gents! I've been silent on the motos front for a while, not a lot of riding for me in 2023, gosh the summer was hot and had a lot of random adultings to do - back now, and hoping for a ride packed winter - Nick
  24. @Hawkins (AT DCT), Kyle #2 (F800GSA) and I set off to do a ride last weekend. We met at dunkin in Ramona, at 8:30 and set off to do Lost Valley, High Point Truck Trail, and Palomar divide. Nice ride down old Julian, and the usual twists out to just before the Warner Springs Glider Port where Lost Valley Begins. We had a nice ride through there, it's gorgeous, and about half way through there was a group of punk-kid rocks waiting to trip one of us up, Jesse got unlucky and they picked him this time. He had an off, and one of those punk rocks had ninja skills and skipped the skid plate, skipped his bars, and French kissed his side cover, so he was spitting oil pretty bad. Jesse got the AT a couple miles down the road to a nice flat spot, and we got it on it'[s side so we could take a look. Plans for how to handle this were already forming over the Bluetooth, I was pretty sure I had JBWeld, but wanted to wait and make sure before announcing such magical things. I did have JBWeld, Kyle #2 had a Dime, and Jesse cleaned the area really well. Boom, Africa twin back on the road, and it held so he could continue the day as planned! We completed Lost Valley and had some great tacos in Anza. On High Point Truck Trail, Jesse popped out his Skydeo drone. I have never had a follower drone before, that thing is amazing, make sure to activate 4K mode the drone is pretty incredible. We made it to the part where High Point gets to the 3-way, and started heading toward the lookout tower, but my clutch lever was fading really badly. By now I could go flat to the bar and it wouldn't engage, so I recommended we point the nose cones down hill and start heading back. We got to the chairs and my lever was feeling better, at least enough to pull it and have it performing it's duties, but by the time I got home it was not working at all, I was able to be in the right revs and kick the bike up and down a few gears so that wasn't too bad. I checked it out and fluid was almost all gone from clutch res, so I'll be inspecting the M/S cylinders and going through that this weekend... Right now though added fluid and lever is back to normal. Adventures were had, challenges were met and dealt with in stride, all expected from these rides Also got to ride with Kyle (On the right, below, who's screen name I do not know yet) really talented off road rider on the GSA on road tires! Thanks @Hawkins and Kyle for a great ride! - Nick
