    BMW Rallye3 Jacket

A while ago I got this jacket from a buddy for helping him out with his bike: BMW Rallye3 EURO size 66: Really a fabulous jacket, sleeves come off, great armor and also great airflow. My issue is it’s a bit too big for me, I am US size XXL this is probably closer to 3-4XL. These things are wicked expensive, SO HERE IS THE OFFER: Show me your XXL Sized moto jackets that don’t quite fit, that you’d want to trade for this … and maybe we can make a deal if EURO 66 is your size! Or make an offer if you really want it. I don’t even own a bmw any more but if I was made of benjamin’s I would buy a full Rallye suit and ride with it, really great gear. more pics:

    2022 GEICO rally!

@Rjg967 - Boom - sounds like we have another guaranteed rally goer. I feel like this event is underrated, I have been going since their first event and left that time with the same sentiment, great org, great event, well done for sure. I have paid a lot more money, and had to go a lot farther, for much less well done events IMHO this one is great, very local, and over delivers vs the competition. See you there next year for sure 🤘
  7. What @DSM8 said ^ is critical. After every ride, my Leatt Airfit is hanging dry until the next ride. keeps it fresh.
  8. This is a great question, because it was also something I worried about. Because I wear a clean jersey over it, and regularly bathe the body under it, it's always fine... Zero stank, zero issues, it still looks new. I think what you can't tell is how breathy the shirt material is, it's almost 'fishnet' level breathyness. And now you too, know you don't need to worry about that question
  9. I rock this under a jersey, so does @moto_rph and @Porkchop - Great armor for the summer, or to be layered in for winter rides. Leatt 3DF AirFit Hybrid https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/riding-gear/leatt-3df-airfit-hybrid-body-protector-p

    Corrizo Badlands

We have started at pinion and gone from there through to Fish creek etc, that's an awesome ride - but I have not explored on anything else off of that described route. I would say for folks considering... that's a route that once you start on a bigger bike, you are pretty much fully committed to, know what your getting in to bring friend(s) and a positive attitude. At the rally we will be with a mix of bikes and abilities with all the folks present, so we will be deciding the routes we take based on what everyone is comfortable with and willing to subject their steeds to.

    We need another ride!

@Mr.JAJA In unserem Camp wird es eine Mischung aus österreichischen und deutschen Fahrrädern geben. Aber meistens die orange Sorte.

New to me 17 KTM 500 exc

Whomever set @moto_rph 500 up, knows what's up, I remember riding his in stock form and thinking well it's quite a bit lighter than the sex-noin-T but where's the juice? Now that thing is pretty amazing, the power is very good, and the bike also doesn't run rough at all, it's been raged all over the roads at non dirtbike speeds, and bounced up and down trails and just seems to just be set up really well.
  14. This is perfect lol

KTM 500 is a dream bike man congrats!
  16. Where is that 'pee recycling' device Kostner had in waterworld, and how do we adapt it to produce beer lol
  17. BINGO. That's how my 690 is set up. The GL Mojave side bags (orange pictured below) have 1x 21" tube, tube patches, small travel bottles with dot & splash of oil, tools, air compressor, ace wraps for medical snafus, and a sun bonnet for my alabaster noggin. Those stay until needing to be used, always on the bike. I also use those tool in that same side bag when I change tires at home etc so I always know I have what I need on the bike. If you build your own toolkit, of what you need to get yourself back home, it's not that huge. Edited to add I also carry a tow strap, those work amazingly well I pulled @moto_rph almost the full length of Font's Point with the 690 - so glad we had that!!!
  18. It's one of the best things in my life if not the best, sharing riding with her and being there to watch her learn how to ride, get better at it, and love riding herself. I know you love riding with your son, and watching him turn in to a great rider - it's just a good thing.
  19. I've never owned the R80, but have borrowed it from Wade before and wanted to offer a pretty objective review - my wife, at the time was on a new to her bike, Multi 950. The multi is much taller, and heavier than her F650GS was, and has gas in a standard tank, not under the seat and in the tail like the F650GS had. We set out to go ride and camp around Joshua Tree area for a few days, and there was to be dirt on the trip so didn't want to use her shiny painted Ducati boxes. Remember how I mentioned the MS950 was much taller, and heavier than her previous bike - well I was worried about then strapping Tent, sleeping bag and her stuff to the back of that thing throwing her off her game. But she said the entire time, no matter what she had in the R80 she could not tell the R80 kit was on the back of her bike, it really hugs the tail and doesn't alter the ride - at that point she was still figuring that bike out so that was great - the trip went well, even the dirt and sand out to the campsite etc. R80 is a pretty fantastic rig, if you can afford it. If you can't (or don't want to) shell out that coin, TUSK makes a pretty descent copy.
  20. Man, thanks for sharing the pics and some report guys - sorry I missed this campout looks like a good time. Nick
  21. I must say this was a great bit of catch up reading this morning with my coffee I can't make the campout due to farmers market & still working on new boundaries with the newest pooch - but may sneak out a ride Sunday we will see. I read through the comments on packing, and highly agree you can watch all the youtubes etc you want, but you need to just get after it yourself and figure out what works/ and what doesn't for you. If you are missing this one, you can use the GEICO ADV Rally coming up as your first live test, it's not far. I also, again, highly suggest loading the bike, clearing yourself a nice spot of days off and f'ing off in a direction of your choosing and not really making plans where you are going to stop or fussing about schedules etc. It will all come together and be great. Hope to see everyone at the adv rally, I will be on the FARKLE PONIES team with @Porkchop @moto_rph and my friend coming down from Oregon. Welcome "Katya" to the Pack (Right) She's 1yo, and comes from some tough times but Milo (Left) is being a really great example for her as she learns the 10,000 ways to hear the word "no" lol: Nick

What a waste of usable space, I’ve seen entire families plus the chickens and dogs on single scooters in Thailand with no racks! Haha
