It's going to be pretty dusty for me on redemption day!

Will the T7 be up for midweek corn beef hash?

Congratulations UC! Such an accomplishment! Enjoy every moment! Chris, my senile old guy brain remembers your GPS clocking the two of us at 82 mph??? There are only a few folks on this Earth that I can trust riding close to at speed... and that is you Chris, and you LB! After retirement, I never feel more alive than when the stakes/fun level are at their highest; thanks for playing with me!

This is the one that I rescued not too long ago. I hid it near Temecula if anyone wants to take it for a ride. 😉 -
On the seventh day, God rode his motorcycle West to East down Truck-haven trail/road and said "it was good." 😎

Best to you Brad, heal well and fully.

Stripped front axle nut-help please

From now on Bruce maybe use Austrian Torque Specs: Gutentight! -
Yep, I use the Sicass version as well due to the fact that longer lower versions tend to get bent, and license plates tend to get crushed by the rear tire. I'm pretty sure in this case, that the ranger was bummed out by what he thought were some rabble rousers riding MX bikes in the park (for sure a ticket x2), were really just two nice folks riding perfectly legal 2 wheelers. My plate has exhaust burns on it...maybe I should get out the white and blue paint to create the most visible plate!

Good write-up Van, pretty sure someone in the future will be able to use this experience to their benefit.

Hope things work out for you Bruce. -
I relate to Eli Wednesday. I adjust my clickers so that I don't bottom out too much and... oh ya, set my rebound so that the bike doesn't spring back too quickly. 😎

Noticed a coolant leak yesterday from one or two of the hoses connecting to the thermostat on my EXC. Ordered a set of silicon hoses to replace the OEM version. Should I buck-up and by a new 70 Deg. thermostat (just for giggles) or figure that if it fails sometime, it's really not a big deal anyway? Thanks! The drippy Mule
-
The thermostat is only there for cold conditions up until operating temp is reached. After running temp is reached it’s only in the quotient by a negligible amount of flow restriction . Most off-road machines do not have a thermostat. Maybe on dual sports it’s there due to easy riding conditions and or CARBie kind of things. 🤭
-
It’s a consideration in cold temps. Here in SoCal more flow is good.
-
I just spoke with the folks over at Jeff Slavens and they said that it’s OK to just remove the thermostat out of the housing. The result I’m looking for is more flow which should equal more cooling.
-
That is what I was thinking too. Did he install the bypass hose in it's place? Or just remove the thermostat from inside the housing?

Dear 450 XCW Motor - I am Sorry to have been so hard on you.

Shhhhhhh, I think that I must have received a Paradise discount...SD Powerhouse went into the bottom end on mine, even replaced the complete crank assembly. All bearings replaced... a list of big ticket items... top through bottom; and I picked up the bike with $2800.00. Did you stay in the shop while they were working on your bike? I hear that the shop rate goes up if one does that. -
