While traveling in Peru, I could not help checking out the local rides. Almost all were in the 125 to 200 cc range with very few any larger. Bigger the cities, bigger the bore. Smaller bikes had carburetors and appeared to function well between 10,000 ft to 15,000 ft elevation. Rare to see a two-stroke. Lots of Chinese and Korean machines with the regular Japanese hardware (Honda/Yamaha). Names like Mavila (Korean, now made in Mexico), Ronco, Wanxin (Honda CT 70 clone?), Bajaj, Ssenda, Lifan and Futong to name a few. Stuff I've never heard of before. At first I thought you were referring to the dude with his hands on the teets, a typical Wisconsin (Kug?) thing, then I noticed the "Kug".

Just wearing prescription glasses/sunglasses under goggles. The hard part I find is not rubbing the foam of the goggles against your glasses (putting them on over glasses) as they have oils from your face and it smears on the glasses and makes a mess/dust collector.

Rumors can be verified! I just assumed it part of the "sand Inspection" part of the trip. Report is that its kinda soft, more grainy the Glamis and quite dry. Thanks for the entertainment portion of the trip! Howsabout in the background...
