I used this book to get my license and it explains everything in simple English.

I just follow Kug's dust, that's the best GPS I've found.
Crawdaddy's dust is a good trail to follow too...
Give Bagstr some credit...I followed his Anza Borrego dust on Tuesday and never got lost.
sorry to hijack...back on track

The SDAR good vibe of meeting new riding friends is alive and well!
Bagstr, thanks for leading us around.
CiD, thanks for taking that gear.
My GoPro was acting up and didn't get any video, but here are a couple of pics.

90% in. If I make the ride, can someone take some riding gear from me and deliver it to another member? I'm giving Oracle some boots, chest protector and knee guards...I'll pay with a beverage or two for your services.

What time for those of us who might pass on the breakfast? 0900ish?
-
Sent and link forwarded to friends/family.

I'm out, gotta work late tonight and I have an appointment in the morning.
Hasn't rained out here yet...I'll be in the Ocotillo area later tonight, I'll try to post up a weather report.

What time? Route?

I dream that I could ride my small bike like that...

"Rides to the Emergency Room after breaking his leg. Rides to Home Depot to pick up lumber."
I wish i was this guy...although when i broke my collarbone i did go home to take off my riding jersey so the ER nurse wouldn't cut it up.

Jim!! I'm in the same boat as Schweddy and to top it off I also have to work on Friday. Hope you find some single track so you can share with the Baja Band of Brothers! Be safe and have fun!

Beniflas, did you get signed up?
There's a whole new batch of SDAR riders(racers) out there . Come join in.
Your already out there. Bonus.
Not yet, Mrs. beniflas might not make it out there until Saturday afternoon so I'll have daddy daycare duties in the morning. I'll still be cheering on the SDARacers.
-
We'll be camping out there that weekend with my brother, he's signing up for the race and trying to convince me to also sign up.
Any SDAR guys out there (racer or spectator) are welcomed to swing by for a celebratory refreshment after the race.

Lurking.
I don't have tracks for that area but have been out there a few times in a 4x4 during deer season....never got a deer but did plenty of walking.
PbdBlue, A co-worker sent me some GPS coords to a spot along the river for dry camping, I'll see if I can dig them up and send them to you.
-
Ken S, I was the guy in the truck that introduced myself right before the start...how was your race?
I was watching for my brother and also saw you coming into the pits on the 1st lap....couldn't stay long though, had to come home and smoke some ribs.
-
Dood! Come out to Superstition and sweat your huevos off at the D-38 Rattlesnake chase! I know you love riding in 100+ degrees!
Is the D38 on Sunday?
D38 race today.

Elliot's Mine across the interstate from In Ko Pah has some fun trails with some real nice views.
I wish I could make this ride but I have some late morning commitments...I'll still be lurking just in case.
-
Good job on the video, I'll be watching that next time I get the urge to go back...everyday probably.

Baja one weekend, Disneyland the next.

Happy bday Jim! Enjoying 2 weekends in a row of the happiest place on earth.

You call that silt " highlights"? Lol
Ha ha.. call me sadistic, but when we almost had to go back through there I smiled.
Great video, Benny. And thanks again for grabbing my GPS. I am cutting a video, too, and have footage of it laying on the ground, but I never saw it when I was lifting my bike.
I still have more footage, just need to find the time to sift though it. I would like to see the footage when we were all riding behind you coming into Rumorosa...and the horse footage going through Jamu.

Day 1 highlights

My brother (262v) will be out there as well, I'll be spectating/pitting.

Jim, thanks for taking the lead and coordinating this ride. Not once did we doubt your navigation skills.....we actually doubted them 2 or 3 times. Lol. I already convinced my brother for Santa Veronica, just say when.
I'm working on some video footage, here are some pics for now.
$20 fell out of my camera bag when i took one of these pics, small price to pay.
Jeff climbing up a washed out road with a huge silt pocket halfway up.
Getting ready to take part of the race course that would eventually take us to Rancho Meling.
About 2 miles away from Mikes along the back side.

I might be out there this week or maybe out at Super. How's the food at Red Feather?
