  1. what up yall so I am looking for a smaller bike and I have considered trading my xr 350 for the above bike plus cash. what would be a good asking price for this yamaha bike and is it a good bike?
  2. I want to know a fair price to pay for a fair condition 1993 Yamaha xt 225 serow
  3. also some things to consider about the yamaha and maybe the differences about the bikes. to be honest i havent done any research about this bike yet
  4. so here is the story, i went riding at my local spot. Everything went great came home went to work for three days got on the bike started no problem pulled out of the driveway and its hesitating on the throttle at low rpm's. im baffled cuz its been running so good and all of a sudden this happens. i have owned the bike for 6 months with no issues. as far as i know its a stock carb and petcocks. my plan is pull the carb, plug, and fuel filter. i would like to do air box mod but no idea what jets to put in it and if thats all i have to do. am i on the right track or is there a bigger problem here that i dont see????? thanks for reading and all info helps tremendously!!!!!
  5. Yeah I dig it. Instant gratification when it runs like ---- then put forth the effort to tear it apart then runs great afterwards. Thanks for all the suppoet
  6. I'm pretty sure the valves are in spec lol taking it apart is the easy part! Never checking them before I was shooting from the hip wit the specs from manual and online guidance. It's kinda tough to feel. For mine the lower spec slipped though pretty easy and high spec was pretty tight. The feeler guage in the middle felt right in between if that makes sence to anyone reading. Hope that's right otherwise I'm in trouble lol??
  7. Update, I I ripped it apart cleaned fuel filters (not to dirty at all) cleaned carb (really clean too) new plug checked valves didn't need adjustment and slapped it all back together. Runs like new and way less noise while decelerating. Why is this? Anyway it runs great and no idea what was wrong with it lol. The good news I'm back in buisness!!!

Hello all, i have looked for this subject and im sure its out there but couldnt find it. i wanna know how many teeth my stock sprockets have. i believe 14/43 but not sure. i want to get more out of my low end so i placed a 13 on the front with a small amount of change. my questions are if stock is 43 sould 45 make it to low and if i did go 45 would the stock length chain fit with the 13 in the front? btw its a 1990 dr 350s. thanks in advance!!!!!!
  13. the sprocket i took off was a 14 and believe it was the original. would the current chain fit if i went up un the rear sprocket?

  18. Hello all so I got new rear universal blinkers. I'm totally fine with splicing wires and making the connections. My question is all wires are black, the ones coming from the bike and the new blinkers with a eliminator and no definitive hot or black how do I know which is which? I have to start the bike to see the right connections, if red/red are connected can I ruin the blinkers? Hope I explianed that enough if not let me know and I'll try to explain better
  19. Hello all! I was told about a spot that people frequent in the San Marcos area off dear springs just west of the I-15 anyone familiar and if so wanna go ride next sun/mon? I've never been but gonna go check it out but would prefer someone to tag along.
