  1. I want to know a fair price to pay for a fair condition 1993 Yamaha xt 225 serow
  2. also some things to consider about the yamaha and maybe the differences about the bikes. to be honest i havent done any research about this bike yet
  3. what up yall so I am looking for a smaller bike and I have considered trading my xr 350 for the above bike plus cash. what would be a good asking price for this yamaha bike and is it a good bike?
  4. Yeah I dig it. Instant gratification when it runs like ---- then put forth the effort to tear it apart then runs great afterwards. Thanks for all the suppoet
  5. I'm pretty sure the valves are in spec lol taking it apart is the easy part! Never checking them before I was shooting from the hip wit the specs from manual and online guidance. It's kinda tough to feel. For mine the lower spec slipped though pretty easy and high spec was pretty tight. The feeler guage in the middle felt right in between if that makes sence to anyone reading. Hope that's right otherwise I'm in trouble lol??
  6. Update, I I ripped it apart cleaned fuel filters (not to dirty at all) cleaned carb (really clean too) new plug checked valves didn't need adjustment and slapped it all back together. Runs like new and way less noise while decelerating. Why is this? Anyway it runs great and no idea what was wrong with it lol. The good news I'm back in buisness!!!
  7. so here is the story, i went riding at my local spot. Everything went great came home went to work for three days got on the bike started no problem pulled out of the driveway and its hesitating on the throttle at low rpm's. im baffled cuz its been running so good and all of a sudden this happens. i have owned the bike for 6 months with no issues. as far as i know its a stock carb and petcocks. my plan is pull the carb, plug, and fuel filter. i would like to do air box mod but no idea what jets to put in it and if thats all i have to do. am i on the right track or is there a bigger problem here that i dont see????? thanks for reading and all info helps tremendously!!!!!
  8. ocotillo wells is the spot, im a north county guy so thats def closer. its a over night trips so just somewhere to pitch a tent is fine. a shitter would be cool but not needed, sounds like it will be a jump on the bike and explore trip! anythings to stay away from? any groups of hot woman that ride around looking for guys to give free beer too? only one can dream right!!!
  9. hey thanks for all the good info. ocotillo i guess where all the madness ensues. im going with a friend thats unplated so we will have to stay offroad. we are intermediate so some cool single track (not on razorback ridges) would be fun. how about good camping. somewhere we arnt gonna get ran over at night lol.
  10. im headed out there for the first time on a bike the weekend after christmas and want to ride the most seneic fun intermediate trails the desert has to offer. point me in the right direction men!!!!!!!!!
  11. I would love an extra set of wheels! Also want some sprokets. How much? I ride lots of street but want to compensate a little and meet in between for street and dirt. I don't do freeway just highway at 55-60mph max. Bike slut what do you mean adjustments front and back? Chain tensioner?
  12. the sprocket i took off was a 14 and believe it was the original. would the current chain fit if i went up un the rear sprocket?
