What would you suggest?  I just bought that tire for the front and have not mounted it. I want good traction for dirt but doesn’t wobble like crazy.  My 790 has a fairly worn Moto rallyz and it shakes pretty bad at 75 and up.  It ordered a Scott’s street stabilizer today. I figured that’s the way to go over the dirt version??!!

I have the Scott’s dirt version stabilizer. It definitely helped with head shake on the slab. If I turned it up tighter I’m certain it would help.
The TKC80 that came stock shook less.
    I shouldn’t be riding that speed anyway. It’s 90 - 105 mine does it.
75 on your bike would be quite annoying.
Im no expert on this. This is my first Adventure bike.

  2. I’ve ridden Glamis a lot on a paddle since I was a kid.
Most fun I’ve had though is a Golden Tire GT333  (DOT)with Tubliss and 2 lbs air on my 500.
Out run my buddies on there 450 MX bikes with paddles up the big dunes. Ability to slide the rear while going around a bowl WFO in 5th and 6th is a hoot.

GT333 is my go to on my 300 and 500.

  3. The 1090 takes clutch and a bit of technique to wheelie. It’s not going to wheelie like Rory on a 500 EXC (or anything for that matter).
It will drag race Cruisers very well. I’m always kicking myself afterwards thinking it’s not a good idea doing 140 on knobby tires.

  4. 1090R owner. Lots of mods but S101 Suspension revalve took it from street bike to dirt bike.

I don't ride as well as the guys Robert is referring to but I can ride.

I don't ride it enough but makes me smile every time I do.

    My experience on it.

Dirt road riding that is boring on my 500 is fun on the big bike

I can ride all day on the Seat Concepts Comfort seat.

I don't ride single track alone after dropping it down hill and it would have been bad with out a riding buddy helping out - Thanks Mike - SanRider

Speeding tickets - I haven't got one yet but its inevitable

My next mod is a  slightly taller windscreen - I'd rather have bugs on the windscreen than my visor. My last Imperial Valley ride was a mess

Your welcome to test ride mine before buying one.

  5. C&D is out of the Golden as well. Steve is hoping for an order in about a week.

I got about 25 hours out of the Shinkos and the side knobs were tore badly.

I have 50 hours on a newer Golden. Side knobs are not tearing off. Just wore out from riding slab. To me the Golden is worth the extra $50.

  6. A Recluse clutch works amazing on that bike as well.
PM me and I’ll send you a parts list to quickly turn it into a $18000 bike of your dreams.
Don’t forget to visit Suspension101. George turns that bike into a full on Desert Race winner. Enduro ready competitor. Or just about the best all around play bike for us normal folks.
Unfortunately these  bikes are not Ready to Race as advertised.
