  1. Transponder is a sticker on your helmet the time keeping sensor at the finish line reads (wich rarely works) I'll be down practicing the weekend before the race if the temps are below 110. Join us and I'll show you the basic layout of the area. The courses are always different but similar. Watch for post in informal rides.
  2. Transponder is a sticker that goes on the visor of your helmet that gets scaned by a time keeping device at the finish line. (I've only seen it actually work once) Can't pre run the actual mark course. I'll be going down practicing the weekend before if the temps are below 110. Watch for my post and

    sunday 8-9-2015

Bikeslut didn't show but 10 of us did. Rode the normal stuf, played on the rocks for a while. No major spills or breakdowns. Temps were lower out there then they've been lately.

    Best Diesel < $10k

I also have had a couple Chevy 2500HD's with the gas motor and they've both been bullet proof for over 250,000 miles, get 18mpg and are cheaper to buy used. Also it cost approx. $120 for oil and filter + fuel filter-which you need to change every oil change or you'll have injector problems on the diesel. $30 for oil change on the gas truck.

    Best Diesel < $10k

I run the Chevy 2500 HD for my work trucks. Carry a load every day pus a large glass rack. I've had 5 all diesel's. Don't buy a 03 they need injectors every 100,00. Never had a break down on any of them. Never done brakes u joints or anything other than tires shocks and fluids. I usually buy used with around 100,000 on them for around $8,000. I put 300,000 miles on it then sell the thing for $4-5 grand. I get about 16mpg loaded. We put 80,000 miles a year on our work trucks. With F250's I've had to do brakes every year and a tranny every other year. With the Dodge -I've only had a 96 - had to do front brakes ever 2-3 months and a tranny every year. I hear their better now.
  11. Meet at the culdesak Approx 5:15 at pine valley. Medium to fast pace pine valley to corral. Blast back to the truck at sunset.
  12. Darren and I had a fun little after work 2 hour ride. Got to test my new suspension set up from Suspension 101. Wow. I thought my RMZ worked good after George sprung it for me and did some set up on. I never new my bike was harsh until today. I steered into all the rough nasty rocky crap on Bear Valley taking the worst lines possible on purpose. The ride was plush and the harder it hit the stuff the better the ride got. Why didn't I do this a year ago/ Thanks George, you rock. 100% customer satisfaction.
  13. I think we need to get 350 Thumper a full time job. I guess i need to wear my go pro more for some good get backs.
  14. So I guess I have more patience than I thought. Brought my friends 15 year old son Austin out to ride his new to him YZ450 for the first time. (Not his first bike.) Also met 350 thumper and Meatmord. Nice temps at 7am. Austin had a hard time with clutch work and killed his bike a lot. Had an even harder time restarting the bike. He's only about 140lbs. After starting to get the hang of it he went down and broke the clutch handle off. I rode it back to my truck and put on my spare. About 30 minutes later he went down on greenhorn and destroyed a radiator, lucky we were close to the road where I was able to get my truck to end the day very early. Meatmord - Corey is learning fast. Best I've seen him ride so far.
  15. Nothing elegant about Darren
  16. Birthday present from a loving dad who rides a quad and doesn't know any better.
  17. I'll be at 4 corners at 7. Going to be doing some basic riding lessons- Clutch & throttle control. Climbing small rock sections and granite slab sections with out stalling and crashing. Some of the technical stuff but no black Diamond Going to start easy then ramp it up as the morning goes on. Probably never break 25mph. Will swing back to 4 Corners at 8 To pick up strays. Kenny Black F150. Fat Guy on Yellow RMZ 450
  18. Texas, thanks for posting me falling down. DICK. Kidding. Sd Hydro, foot is good in boots. Still hard walking if I don't have shoes on for support. BUY GOOD BOOTS. Love my Alpine star Tech 7 Enduro's. Sure I would not have broke my foot with them on instead of entry level O"neil crap.
  19. They're doing a trials event also.
  20. Note to all from me after learning the hard way. BUY GOOD BOOTS They start at about $350 but are worth it? What's 2-4 weeks off work cost us plus the doctor bill if your not insured?
